With over a decade of experience in the fashion business, Mark's journey began when his passion for fashion design emerged at an early age. Although he initially ventured into his father costume design Tailor shop in Ethiopia after school help out his family's business learned the trined he eventually realized that his true calling was in the world of fashion.
Mark Huluka pursued his dream by enrolling in the Art Institute of Washington's Fashion and Semesters School in Virginia. Through dedicated study and a relentless pursuit of his passion, Mark crystallized his aspiration of becoming a fashion designer.
Mark's illustrious career includes working as a Tailor and Alterations Specialist in some of the highest fashion department stores in the Washington DC area. His expertise in tailoring and alterations has left an indelible mark on renowned establishments such as Brooks Brothers, Indochino Washington DC, Men's Wearhouse, Saks Fifth Avenue, David's Bridal, Sew in Style Costume Design Store, Nordstrom, and many more.
Over the years, Mark has honed his craft through various roles in the fashion industry, earning a reputation for his attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Currently, Mark Huluka owns and operates the prestigious Mark's Style Couture Design Studios, located in Silver Spring, Maryland. His influence extends beyond the studio, as he actively engages in promoting local events and contributing to various initiatives. He is notably recognized for his involvement in African Fashion PR, DC Fashion Week, DC Government African Affairs, social events, Diaspora community gatherings, and as the PR representative for Miss Africa USA in the United States and across the globe.
Mark Huluka's creations are distinguished by their originality, crafted with a meticulous touch that showcases his expertise in hand-made fabrics. These fabrics include Shema, Meskel flower, Woves, and Cotton Embroidery fabrics.
